Dr Seuss and Read Across America Day

We celebrated Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Day today!  Students wore Cat in the Hat hats, read about Dr. Seuss in our Let's Find Out magazines and participated in many fun activities!  We had 2 guest readers who each read a Dr Seuss classic!

Mr. Lyons started our day by reading Green Eggs and Ham.  It sounded so good that a few students asked to change their lunch plans!  The cafeteria staff put together a delicious lunch of green eggs and ham today!

Students also enjoyed the opportunity to read!  Some read to each other!

Ms. Horton stopped by to read her favorite Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who....any guesses why she likes this one?

We very much enjoyed having our guest readers!

We also enjoyed our many fun activities!

Everyone loved playing the I Can Do That game with Ms. Bennett!

Cat in the Hat Go Fish was fabulous!

We practiced our cvc word work skills and did some rhyming, Dr. Seuss style!

It sure was a wonderfully wacky Wednesday!
