With Much Gratitude....

Visit the twitter #BurlingtonGivesThanks  as there will posts about what people are thankful for.  Friends in room 103 will be discussing gratitude in the coming days.  Mrs. Hoyt and Ms. Miliano are grateful they get to spend their days with these wonderful, loving and enthusiastic learners.  We love our jobs!

Here are a few photos of our recent lessons.

Lots and lots of counting and comparing of values!

We are learning about the continents.  Today we colored North America.  We learned that we live in North America!

Roll the dice and color in the turkey!

One of our fun seasonal math activities is adding feathers to our turkeys!  We use mini-clothespins and clip on requested amounts of them.  It is both a great math skills activity and a fun fine motor activity!

Wow! I am so impressed with Room 103 doing such fantastic learning in social studies and math. I wonder if they would share their learning about North America with second graders. They will be learning about continents too!
