Read Across America Day at Pine Glen

This blog post was written by Pine Glen librarian, Rachel Small and was originially published on BPSEdTech.org.

Read Across America Day at Pine Glen

Today Pine Glen is celebrating Read Across America Day and the birth of Dr. Seuss. This morning we had an all school reading celebration in the gym as all students and staff members read independently. Classroom teachers orchestrated guest readers to come into their classrooms. Many classrooms are getting together with other classrooms to read to each other. And the cafeteria is serving green eggs & ham for lunch. What a great day!
Here are some more pictures Mrs. Hoyt took of her kindergarten students visiting other classrooms.

Read Across America Day:A Celebration of Reading and The Birth of Dr. Seuss

We had an all school reading celebration this morning at Pine Glen Elementary School. Teachers and staff read together as part of Read Across America Day and to honor the birth of Dr. Seuss.  I have included in the pictures what Mr. Lyons is currently reading.

Additional photos and reflections from room 103 will appear soon!  Stay tuned!
