Colorful start to Kindergarten!

September 2015
Dear Room 103 Parents,
We want to let you all know that part of our ELA block will focus on a review of colors.  Ms. Bennett and I will try to wear the “color of the day” for the first 9 days of school.  Your child is welcome to wear the “color of the day” too!  Please don’t feel like you need to go buy something. If your child has the colored clothes and if they would like to wear the color that would be great!

Kindergarten Here You Come!

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to meeting you Wednesday, September 2nd for our kindergarten orientation.  This is an important day for both you and your child.  The students will get to meet teachers and see the classroom and building.  Parents will receive lots of information and have many questions answered.

During our meeting you will be asked to complete a number of forms. Please bring contact information for cell phones, emergency contacts and medical information.

In the note addressed to your child we invited him/her to help me by drawing a picture of your home.  Please encourage your student to try but do not pressure.  We will begin the year with an exploration of houses and styles (like those of the 3 little pigs made of straw, stick and brick!).

Mrs. Hoyt and Ms. Bennett

We would like to keep you up to date on what is going on in room 103.  Please register to receive important messages and notifications about last minute changes in schedules.  Click this link for Directions to sign up for Remind.

Donations Welcome!

Although we do not request any school supplies, our classroom would appreciate any donations of hand sanitizer, tissues, and disinfecting wipes(Wet Ones).  These will be used to make sure our classroom stays clean and healthy throughout the school year.  If you choose to donate, these items can be sent in with your child at anytime during the year.  I thank you in advance for supporting a healthy classroom.
