Thursday Fun!

Cold temperatures outside, warm feelings inside!  We continue to love our blanket, quilt and afghan activities!

 

Last call for soup!  Our collection ends tomorrow, February 1.  Thank you for your generosity!  The table is full underneath and on top!

Hunger Heroes

Our Hunger Heroes are ready to organize the data.

To  be best prepared for the graphing and sorting task of organizing the soup donations from our Super Bowl collection students in grade 4 and K worked together on a Lucky Charms sorting activity!  Mrs. Clancy printed the images of the marshmallows found in the lucky charm cereal and students worked to sort handfuls of "cereal".    We love working with our 4th grade friends and our service learning project has allowed us many opportunities to collaborate and solidify many skills!

New England Aquarium

We had a wonderful day at the New England Aquarium!  Kindergartners were able to see, hear, smell and touch many of creatures we have been learning about over the past month.  As we have continued to learn about living things this year, it was a wonderful and fun opportunity to see many different animals!

 A special thank you is extended to our volunteers.  With out their helping hands we would not be able to participate in such wonderful adventures!

 Touching live sharks and stingrays was a highlight for many!  Even the grown-ups enjoyed it!

Mrs. Hoyt did not think this animal was real...and then it moved!
