Happy Thanksgiving

Mrs. Kerr and Mrs. Hoyt are looking forward to hearing all about everyone's Thanksgiving break.  We will be using discussions about our celebrations to write personal narratives.  Please help your student by sending Mrs. Hoyt a photo or two that will help jog their memory.  Send photos by
Sunday at 6:00 p.m. so we may organize them and get them printed.

Repurposing Our Trash

Just like Oscar the Grouch, we love trash!  Students in room 103 had a wonderful time creating new items with the trash we collected.  We made vehicles, robots, coin jars, unicorns and fun toys!  We even created some spooky decorations for Halloween next year!

To gear up for the fun of this creation challenge, students explored building in the Maker Space this morning!

Friendsgiving Singing

Room 103 had a lovely time singing today.  Kindergarten teachers are thankful to work with Mrs Woodward who was kind enough to teach us how to sign this last song!

Happy Friendsgiving

We had a tremendous morning singing with our grade k friends!  Then we feasted together in the cafeteria.  Each kindergartner sat with their buddy and presented them with a friendsgiving treat

Dress Code: Join Student Council on the day of the Turkey Trot in wearing RED to show support for Heart Awareness!!!! 

                     REMINDER!!!!!    

     Non perishable food items can be donated by the gym for the Burlington Food Drive.  Donations will be collected until the day of the Turkey Trot.

Pine Glen's nurse, Mrs. Ferrick has asked we share the following message from Burlington Public School's head of nursing:

Just a friendly reminder that it is the time of year that you should be checking your child’s head for lice.  It is not uncommon to see lice at this time of year, and parental head checks are strongly encouraged. Our District’s Lice Procedures/Protocol is attached Here and please refer to the bottom of the policy for plenty of education on lice. If you have any questions, concerns, or need support, please feel free to contact the Nurse’s Office.

Gracias Amigos

We were very lucky today as another group of students joined us in learning.  We practiced our social skills by greeting guests with a handshake and looking them in the eye.  We learned ways to greet in Spanish , color and number words as well as how to say thank you and good-bye!  They also taught us to sing a new versions of a familiar song!
