We Read Throughout Pine Glen

 

We had an amazing day reading!  We read upstairs, we read downstairs.  We read outside in the sun and inside in the dim light.  We read to friends, and strangers.  In the process we met new people and made new friends!

It can be difficult to step out of our comfort zones and try new things.  Students did great.  They introduced themselves, read with confidence and were super engaged.  It was tremendous fun.  In some classes the big kids also read to us!

Mrs. Hoyt and Mrs. Kerr were thrilled to see former kindergarten students now grown and shining!  They were such great role models to our current students!

We read here, we read there.........we read everywhere........and now.....we are tired!

Thank you Interns

Today was our last day of working with Ms. Patel.  

We presented her with a token of our appreciation.  She presented students with gifts as well.  Ms. Patel reported she learned much and loved her time with students!  

We wish her well as she heads off to become a pharmacist this fall!

Mr. Fahey heads off to college in Arizona and was humbled to receive a farewell gifts as well.
 

Spring Senses

 We studied the 5 senses in the spring and we also explored poetry.  Ms Small, our Pine Glen librarian helped us learn and demonstrate our knowledge!  Students created a Spring Senses Poetry Slide show.  Check it out here!

Movie Viewing and Party

 

We had a great time together in the cafeteria with all the K and grade 4 friends.  What a tremendous culmination to our collaborative learing project.  We researched animals, visited the zoo and created movies!  

Today we celebrated and snacked together enjoying our Party in a Bag and viewing the short presentations!
