Week of May 6 - Pine Glen Spring Book Fair
Details will be sent home with students.
Week of May 20 - Science Exploration
Students will be working to understand the impact of the sun on ice. Please watch for permission slip to be sent home regarding popsicles.
May 23 - Zoo Field Trip with Grade 4 Friends
We will head to the Franklin Park Zoo for the day. Additional details were sent home with the zoo permission slip.
Thursday, May 30 - Science and Engineering Challenge
Students will be will be challenged to create a structure to keep popsicles from melting! Volunteers needed.
Friday, May 31 - Guest Readers - Join us for our final guest reading time before we participate in the Pine Glen Walkathon. Bring a book from home to share.
Friday, May 31 - Pine Glen Walkathon - We will be participating in the Pine Glen Walkathon and invite parents to volunteer and join us in this venture.
Friday, May 31 - High School Clap Out - BHS seniors and former Pine Glen students will visit Pine Glen in their caps and gowns. We will join the school community as we applaud them and wish them well!
June 5, 6 - Travel North America
We will explore North America by travelling across a giant map! Details will be sent home with students.

Wednesday, June 12 - Family Gathering
We are preparing for a mini singing concert and are getting our books ready to share. We are very excited about having all parents visit our classroom. We hope you all can come!
Thursday, June 13th–
Bingo and 4th Grade Reading Partners- Please allow your child to bring a book they would like to share with their 4th grade friends. 
June 14 - Kindergarten Water Day
If the weather cooperates with us we will celebrate the end of kindergarten with a water day! Please send your child to school with a bathing suit, towel, some type of shoe that can be worn in the water, and some type of cover-up. Also, please apply sunscreen to your child before sending them to school. * Date may be changing.

Monday, June 17th – Bingo and 2nd Grade Reading Partners- Please allow your child to bring a book they would like to share with their 2nd grade friends.
Tuesday, June 18th - Movie Voting
Please bring in a “G” rated movie today so we can vote on what we will watch on Wednesday, June 19.
Tuesday, June 18th- Bring a board game
Please allow your child to choose 1 game to bring to school. Please make sure the game is labeled and your child KNOWS how to play the game.
Wednesday, June 19th – Movie Day
Please have your child bring in their favorite “G” rated movie on Tuesday, June 19th. We will have a class vote on which movie we should watch. In addition, we will be sending home a special “Party in a bag” so we can celebrate the end of the school year.
Thursday, June 20th- Last day of school
This will be a half day. A note will go home with specifics closer to the last day. If your child will be riding the bus home it will be with all the other elementary students. We will not be going to lunch. If you opt to pick up your child on this day, you will have to follow the morning drop off routine to pick up your child.
