Preparing Kindergartners For In Person Instruction

These ideas are intended to help students be more independent, helping to maintain distance between students and teachers when feasible.

• Practice shoe tying or wear shoes without laces.
• Practice wearing masks for longer and longer periods of time.
• Practice taking masks on and off to eat and proper storage. (A small paper bag with child’s name may work)
• Practice opening snacks, food and drink containers. 
• Practice hand washing.
• Practice using a tissue to blow your nose.
• Practice with buttons, belts, etc for toileting and dressing for out of doors.

Be Thankful

Focus on the positive!  Here is a fun activity for students while at home this summer!  Be thankful.  Can you think of something to go along with each letter of the alphabet?  What are you thankful for?

Mrs. Kerr and Mrs. Hoyt are thankful to have had such wonderful kindergartners in Room 103!  

Checking In

Mrs. Hoyt and Mrs. Kerr have recently been visited by some friends from Room 103.  Thank you to Ahmad (and big brother Amjad) and Benjamin and Lena for stopping by to say hello.  We sure do miss seeing our students.  What a lovely treat!
